Simplenote for iPad →
Just hearing there will be a version for the iPad puts a big ol’ smile on my face. It won’t be available at launch: Simplenote for iPad won’t be available immediately. We’re going to spend some time working with the hardware first to make sure everything flows as expected. I think that’s the right thing to do.

That the iPhone/iPad OS gets out of the way, let’s us focus on one thing at a time and doesn’t insinuate a constant need to switch contexts is just icing on an already delicious reading cake.

Glad I cut the stuff from my diet almost completely. I had always figured that the idea that HFCS is no different from, say, sugar as plausible. Apparently that’s not the case. Aspartame is still safe, though!

Single Line CSS →
Textmate solved this problem for me a long time ago. With a simple hotkey I can see all the selectors on a single line or all the properties on their own line. Best of both worlds.

It’s pretty clear to me that the hardware Kindle has always been Amazon’s way of pushing and legitimizing their ebook service. I’m sure Amazon is pretty happy with the prospects of expanding it with the iPad.

The results aren’t as surprising as the headline claims (Flash is faster in Windows than on Mac OS X and this is because it has access to hardware acceleration. Apple’s reason for not allowing access to hardware acceleration is mysterious, of course. And the conspiracy theory is they are doing it purposefully to block Flash on OS X. Could be. But we don’t know.

The new Motorolla Backflip uses an outdated OS and AT&T bloatware apps that can’t be removed. Gruber is right, AT&T would do the same with the iPhone if they had the choice. And if it weren’t for the iPhone shaking up the cell phone market Verizon would still be doing the same thing as well. What I find most interesting, though, is that this article uniformly lumps developers...

Cameron Moll: New Design, New Host, and Tumblr:... →
I’ve found that moving to tumblr has far more positives than negatives. Like Cameron says there are definite trade-offs. I still see Tumblr as being relatively undeveloped for those of us who demand more control. That said, the ease to get going with content far outweighs the loss in executive control.
