When Twitter Met Facebook: The Acquisition Deal... →
I would hate to see Twitter get acquired by Facebook. The two companies have dramatically different perspectives on social networking. Twitter defines simple while Facebook defines all encompassing. In my opinion, Facebook would eventually run Twitter into the ground.

Sarah Palin Turkey Incident: Does TV Interview... →
I missed out on the “gruesomeness” in this video. Maybe it’s just my testicles talking, but I think too many people are just a little too weak kneed over this sort of thing. The guy was waiting until the interview was over until he really got down to work. What’s funny about this video is his dumbfounded look staring back at the camera.

Ars investigates: Does Google Mobile use private... →
I love that Erica started this article but reminding us of this detail that I think too many people overlook: “First of all, Apple is a private company. It can do whatever it wants to stock its App Store shelves however it pleases. There’s nothing that says the company must treat Joe Q. Developer the same way it treats Moneybags J. Google. So, Google could be linking to private palooza...

Joe Clark: This is How the Web Gets Regulated →
Sorry Joe, but I can’t in good conscious support your call to regulate captioning on the internet. Don’t get me wrong. I want to help people with disabilities. I will support any initiative that strives to achieve that goal. Except, that is, one that essentially puts a gun to somebody’s head and forces them to do the right thing in the form of government regulation. Two clichés...

New Star Trek Trailer →
Good luck finding it. Everything seems to be linked up wrong, it took me three tries to find the new video and I couldn’t get it in any of the higher quality HD formats. On one try I even got the trailer for Cloverfield.

Pentagram designed Bond Book →
“The book collects together all of Ian Fleming’s Bond short stories in a single volume for the first time and includes stories that inspired the Bond film classics From a View to a Kill, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, The Living Daylights and of course, Quantum of Solace, the latest in the series.” Might have to pick this up.

Read All About It: Fake New York Times Offered →
The Yes Men made a fake “special edition” of the New York Times with various headlines like, “Iraq War Ends.” I’ve never been a fan of the Yes Men. Half because I disagree with a lot of their politics and half because they seem like total douchebags. NOTE: I would love for the Iraq War to end, but some of the other liberally-minded headlines make me want to scream.

'08 — A Collection of Thoughts Regarding the...
I’m glad it is finally over. Sitting in my living room with the CBS news turned down low, Obama has just finished giving his victory speech to the fine folks in Chicago. It was a wonderful speech, for what it was, and I am not going to pretend not to be impressed by Mr. Obama’s oratory skills. I live in the great state of California where, from day one, there was no question who was...
